Admission Criteria

To qualify for admission into any of the postgraduate programmes of the University for Postgraduate Program: PhD, a candidate must meet the following criteria:

Applicants for admission to the Doctoral School must meet at least one of the following conditions:

• Hold a Master's degree or equivalent obtained with at least two GOOD grades or higher (14 out of 20 or above) in the first and second years of the Master's program.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent obtained with a grade of GOOD or higher (greater than or equal to 14 out of 20) in the second year and have successfully completed the first year of the Bachelor's degree with at least a grade of FAIRLY GOOD (greater than or equal to 13 out of 20).
• Hold a Master's degree or equivalent obtained with a grade of GOOD ENOUGH (greater than or equal to 13 out of 20) in the second year and have successfully completed the first year of the Master's program with a grade of GOOD or higher (greater than or equal to 14 out of 20).
• Hold a Master's degree or equivalent obtained with a grade of GOOD or higher (14 out of 20 or above) in the second year and have successfully completed the first year of the Master's program with at least a grade of FAIRLY GOOD (13 out of 20 or above).
• Hold a Master's degree under the old system with a grade of at least 70% and have completed the bridging program, not exceeding 30 credits, set by the Doctoral School and certified by a transcript.
• Hold a bachelor's degree under the old system with a grade of at least 70% and have completed the 60-credit bridge program set up by the Doctoral School and certified by a certificate and transcript.
• Applicants must provide a letter of recommendation written and signed by two professors in the field.

3. Full academic CV;
4. Letter from the employer;
5. Letter of recommendation from an academic authority at your home university;
6. Bachelor's and Master's degree diplomas, as well as transcripts;
7. The ministerial decree for scientific candidates with the rank of Head of Works or the appointment decision for assistants;
8. Diplomas obtained (state diploma or equivalent, undergraduate and graduate diplomas);
9. Previous scientific publications, if possible;
10. Criminal record extract;
11. Letter of motivation for admission to the doctoral school addressed to the Director of the doctoral school;
12. Proof of nationality;
13. Preliminary thesis proposal (The candidate must demonstrate their deep motivations for research results projects and their ability to provide leadership for community impact projects that they will have to carry out as part of their action research (500 words)
14. Payment slips for the application fee;
15. Letter of recommendation from a teacher: Name and Surname, academic rank, Institution, Nationality, telephone number, email address
16. Recent passport photo;
17. The duly completed registration form, which will include the opinion (favorable or unfavorable) of the Doctoral School Council.

Online Registration

As part of the modernization of our education system, institutions that are able to do so are encouraged to proceed with online registration. In this regard, academic and deanery authorities must take the necessary precautions to ensure that the staff assigned to this task perform it correctly. To this end, the Minister encourages all institutions under his supervision to gradually move towards the virtual paradigm by strengthening their IT systems and ensuring that each has a regular website.
